During Joey DeJohn's Eulogy, his friend talked about how now-a-days, fighters come into the ring with glitz and fireworks to create excitement, but when Joey fought, he walked in only with his brother who carried a bucket and a towel, Joey was the excitement. He sold out Madison Square Garden in four hours. Besides being a talented athlete, he was a good and generous man. As the 1950's approached, Joey his wife and new daughter seemed like the perfect American dream come true.

That was a nice comment and it's very true about Joey, his wife and daughter and the come true. Yes, he did walk into the garden and wherever he fought and wowed the crowds with just himself, and his brother by his side with just a bucket and a towel, no gimmicks. But his girlfriend did not say that at his Eulogy. His dear friend, Emil Rossi said that when he gave the Eulogy.
